This is the perfect recipe for when you want something hearty and filling, but don’t want to sacrifice flavor or quality. The quesadilla hondureña is made with a corn tortilla, beef, creamy cheese sauce, and it is absolutely delicious which is a popular dish in Honduras!

Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups margarine
- 3 cups white sugar
- 6 room-temperature eggs
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rice flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 cups lukewarm milk
- 2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups sugar
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup sesame seeds
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour one 9x13 inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, cream margarine and 3 cups sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together 2 cups all-purpose flour, rice flour, and baking powder. Gradually add them alternately with the milk, stirring and mixing well after each addition. Slowly stir in Parmesan cheese. Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish.
4. In a small bowl, mix the 2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, and sesame seeds. Sprinkle evenly over the batter in the cake pan.
5. Bake 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely, and cut into squares.
